Saying Goodbye

Usually, I was poetic in this space, but I am too overwhelmed to do so today. This picture was taken on the Sunday you elected us to be a part of your ministry. We have never taken this responsibility for granted. It has been a privilege and an honor to work and live alongside each and every one of you. In a little less than four years, we’ve done some AMAZING things, and set the groundwork for more amazing things to come! The true testament of a good Ministerial family is to leave things better than when you found them. I think it is fair to say that we did just that!

As we prepare to transition, please know how much we love you. How much we thank you for all of your love and support. And, how much we will treasure every relationship and memory we leave with. You all are a part of us, and we are a part of you. We did ministry the right way! For that, we give God thanks. Ministerial success isn’t evaluated by baptisms, new members, and increases to the budget, but in the smiles, the joys, solidarity in the tough times, and most importantly, in the love shared one with another.

We love you. We will miss you. We will see each other again. We will always be family.

Love,
Malachi, Gabriel, Michael, Rose, and Richard
