Update from Rev. Richard

Hello family,

Let me begin by stating my sincere hope that you are safe and at peace in the midst of this trying time. The Coronavirus pandemic is certainly unprecedented for us, but not for the church. Throughout a two thousand year history, the church has overcome any threat to its flourishing, plagues included. The church has survived because the lovers of Jesus Christ resolved to ensure its survival. That is our mission during this trial: to ensure that God’s Word goes forth and that our very lives continue to reflect all that comes from a life surrendered to God.

I want you all to know that LFCC will continue! We will have various online platforms for you to access, but in addition, we will use this time to connect with each other through the tried and true methods of phone calls and letters as well. As you know, I am not one for demonstrative statements, but I promise you all that I will do everything that I can to ensure that you stay connected to God and your church family until we can physically meet again. Attached is a tentative schedule for us to maintain connection through Zoom. I will call around and help anyone who is not adept at accessing these methods. If you have laptop-proficiency or a smartphone, you will have no worries at all. At worst, all you need is a phone to stay connected.

In addition, we want to ensure you that you can still mail your tithes and offerings to the church while we are away. You can also give through PayPal by typing in our church e-mail: lgafcc@gmail.com. Your contributions will assist us in getting through this difficult time.

As always, if you need ANYTHING, you can call me at (917) 574-5105. If you can not reach me immediately, call Rose at (516) 304-6772. You can e-mail me at: rnw1811@gmail.com as well. You will certainly continue to hear from me throughout this time. I am praying for you all and I want to assure you that God’s will is perfect. We will endure this trial, and will reunite soon. Until then, may God continue to bless you, keep you, shine His face upon you, and give you peace. In Christ’s name we pray, Amen!

Love,
Pastor Richard
