Disciple Women (CWF)

All women of Lawrenceville First Christian Church are considered members of CWF/now known as Disciple Women. Lawrenceville First Christian Church Disciple Women/CWF Ewing Group meets in the Conference room the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 1pm and all women are invited. Women participate in Bible Study and prayer, plan for local missions, service projects, fund raisers, and enjoy fellowship time. At Christmas there is a special gathering open to all women who would like to attend.

The LFCC Disciple Women/CWF has been mission oriented throughout its history. The women support local and regional entities and others throughout our denomination.

LFCC’s President of the first Women’s Council in 1938 was Beulah Thompson (Mrs. W.O., Sr.) who later became CWF early days. Many faithful women have served as President of CWF/Disciple Women and as treasurer, leaders of groups, study, cards, service, and members of committees.

In 1949, Christian Women’s Fellowship (CWF) was formed by 75 women at Turkey Run, Indiana, to unify all the different women’s groups throughout the United States and LFCC changed their women’s group name to CWF after that event.
