SUNDAY PREVIEW: TRANSFIGURATION
Sermon Title: Something Extraordinary – The Transfiguration
Scripture: Luke 9: 28-36
This Sunday, we will examine the account of the Transfiguration of Jesus as presented in the Gospel of Luke. This remarkable narrative illustrates Jesus’ transformation from a human form to that of a glorified, heavenly being. Transfiguration. “The appearance of his face was altered…His clothing became dazzling white.” Join us as we explore the reasons behind these events. Something extraordinary is occurring. See you Sunday, in person or online.

MORTGAGE BURNING AND CAPITAL CAMPAIGN KICK-OFF ON SUNDAY, MARCH 9
On Sunday, March 9, we have a big celebration planned. We will celebrate paying off our building mortgage with a special mortgage burning during morning worship. We will look back at all we have accomplished as a congregation and look forward to our next steps in ministry now that our mortgage is paid in full. All of the former ministers of the church have been invited to attend or send thoughts to the church. We will also kick off our next Capital Campaign, to improve our indoor and outdoor space. After worship, we will continue our celebration with a covered-dish dinner. Please sign up in the gathering space to let us know what you plan to bring. Mark your calendar now for this special celebration!
Important note: Sunday, March 9 is also the beginning of Daylight Saving Time. Don’t forget to spring forward so you don’t miss the big celebration.

The next Disciples Women meeting will be on Tuesday, March 11, at 1:00 p.m. in the Conference Room. All women are welcome!

VOLUNTEERS AND DONATIONS NEEDED FOR TEACHER BREAKFAST
On Friday, March 14, LFCC will serve breakfast to the staff of Central Gwinnett High School. The Outreach team needs help in two ways:
- If you would like to donate toward the cost of the breakfast, please give any donations to Rod Baker
- If you are an early riser and want to help set up, serve, and clean up on March 14, please let Rod Baker or Beth Thompson know
Thanks for your help as we show some appreciation for our hard-working teachers and high school staff.

NEW GIVING PLATFORM FOR LFCC
We are launching a new giving platform on our website. Why, you ask? We are paying an average of $40 a month in fees deducted from the donations we receive. Our new giving platform, Zeffy, is for non-profits and does not include a mandatory fee or charge. Please note: When you make your donation using this platform, you will be asked if you want to donate to offset fees. You can just enter any amount, including $0.
The new platform will be linked to the Donate button on the home page of the website by this Sunday. Thank you for your donations online, in-person, and through the mail. We hope this platform will make things easier for donors and eliminate fees so we can do more work in the church with your entire contribution.
