SERMON PREVIEW: ALL SAINTS SUNDAY
Scripture: Ephesians 1:11-23
Sermon Title: Marked by the Spirit

This Sunday, we gather to celebrate All Saints’ Day, a sacred moment to honor the great cloud of witnesses who have gone before us and those who walk beside us still. The sermon Marked by the Spirit invites us to reflect on Ephesians 1:11-23, where Paul speaks of divine inheritance, spiritual power, and the sealing of believers with the Holy Spirit. These verses remind us that the saints—young and old, living and departed—are not distant figures of perfection but beloved members of God’s unfolding purpose. Each one has responded to the call of grace, and each bears the mark of the Spirit, a sign of belonging and hope.

As we remember those who have shaped our faith and those just beginning their journey, we are invited to see ourselves within God’s eternal plan. The Spirit’s seal is not only a promise of future redemption but a present call to live as Christ’s body in the world. We welcome all to join us this Sunday for a service of remembrance, gratitude, and hope as we celebrate the saints among us and within us. See you Sunday morning, in person or online.

HARVEST MEAL THIS SUNDAY
We hope you’re planning to join us for the annual Disciples Women Harvest Meal. Thank you to all who have signed up to bring menu items and to help with setting up on Saturday and cleaning up afterwards. If you have not yet signed up, please reach out to Marilyn Parks. Thank you for your support of Disciples Women.

RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE
Did you know November is National Diabetes Awareness Month? To help empower and educate our blood donors, in November, successful blood donations will get free A1C testing (one test result per donor in a 12-month period). If you give blood Nov.10, you will automatically receive $30 in e-gift cards to a merchant of your choice, and you’ll be entered for a chance to win one of three $5,000 gift cards!

The Red Cross Blood Drive will be held at the church on Monday, Nov. 10 from 2:30 – 6:30 pm. You can sign up to donate at the Red Cross website. We also need help serving snacks at the canteen. Talk to Rod Baker if you can help out.

CUB SCOUT POPCORN
Thanks to everyone who supported the cub scout popcorn sale last Sunday. It’s not too late to buy popcorn to support the cub scout pack that meets at our church. Talk to Frank Hawkins if you’re interested.

SUPPORT THE LAWRENCEVILLE CO-OP
Thank you for your support of the Lawrenceville Co-op as they feed our neighbors in Lawrenceville and Dacula. This October, help the co-op “leaf hunger behind!” Fall is upon us, but our food needs are climbing! Can you help by picking up an extra item or two at the grocery store? The co-op truly appreciates anything you can donate.

This November, Chick Fil A in Lawrenceville is supporting the co-op with a food drive and a percentage day. Here are the details:
  • From November 10 – 15, bring 3 non-perishable items to the Pike Street or Sugarloaf/Hwy 316 location and receive a coupon for a free food item
  • On November 14, order from the CFA app at either of the above locations. Put “Hunger” in the Community Cares event app code and the co-op will receive 10% back.
Co-op’s Most Needed Food Items
  • Applesauce
  • Canned tuna
  • Soup/stews
  • Pork and beans
  • Canned fruit
  • Canned chicken
  • 12 count or 18 count egg cartons
Most Needed Personal Care Items
  • Size 4 and up diapers
  • Feminine pads
